May 19, 2012. SPECIAL SPRING GIVEAWAY!!! :D
This year has been off to an amazing start — I’ve been more busy than I have ever been before, but I’ve achieved goals that I had previously thought were only wishful dreams. For example, I am finally starting my own little online shop (it’s still under construction lol), and I JUST published my first amigurumi pattern!! I’m celebrating this HUGE milestone in my crafting life by giving away lots of FREE STUFF!! :D
I’m hosting FOUR giveaways on Tumblr and Facebook, and there will be a total of TEN WINNERS! Visit me on either site (or both sites!) to join in the fun! YOU CAN ENTER ALL FOUR GIVEAWAYS!!! :D
**This is a giveaway for a FREE handmade, customized Spring Flower!**
How to participate:
- REBLOG this post (ONCE) IN ITS ENTIRETY (please don’t delete any text!) AND ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS WHEN YOU REBLOG: What colors would you like your flower petals and button to be? How will YOU use this flower to accessorize? That’s it! Simple, right? :)
Winner:
- There will be ONE winner!!! The winner will be chosen using a random generator. Please enable your ask boxe so that I may personally notify you when you win. If you win, I will crochet an adorable little Spring Flower in whatever colors you choose, and turn it into an accessory of your choice (pin or hairclip)!

ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS WHEN YOU REBLOG: What colors would you like your flower petals and button to be? How will YOU use this flower to accessorize?
I would love a pretty pale blue flower, with a darker blue or pink button in the centre (I love buttons!). And I would have it as a brooch so that I could wear it on my jacket, or have it adorn my bag beautifully :)
Thanks to Tumblr, I have:
- Discovered Etsy. Every shop I’ve bought things from (Isabell’s Umbrella, Kit Lane, DotNiks, LokiCoki) I have originally seen on Tumblr.
- Made friends, including the lovely Nikki, who I’ve been conversing with for many weeks now. It cures me when I’m feeling listoric :p. (See, I even get to have in-jokes with her!)
- Recieved a lovely handwritten note. And hopefully, by now, they should have had one back from me :).
- Got two new pen pals, the lovely Sophia and the lovely Fab. Fab’s first letter arrived on Tuesday and it just made my week!
- Started a WTJ. That’s down to Fab, mainly. I’d been tempted to one for ages and then I saw what she’d done with hers, and she encouraged me to get one… and I love it! Plus, me raving on about it means Nikki now has one too! Whoo hoo!
- Seen fandoms at their best. Sherlockians rock!
- Gotten to show people my creations. I still have yet to make a sale through Tumblr (I’ll admit the liklihood of that happening is slim) but when people like or reblog my things it gives me a little boost, and encourages me a little more towards an Etsy store :p.
- Found lots of crafty ideas. Some of which I hope to try out this summer.
- Traded guide badges with a fellow girlguiding member in Ireland, and hopefully will be trading some with another such person in Essex.
I think that’s everything for the moment. I’m not sure if I’m feeling particularly sentimental this evening, or if I was just in the mood to post lots of hyperlinks, but this was fun to write. I’m sure the list will only grow over time :).

Started this the other day. Thought I’d snap a photo of it whilst it was still perfect and pristine - I accidentally bent the cover only seconds after taking the picture!
It’s a lot of fun, I’ve already spilt coffee on it, written page numbers that turn upside down every other page, chewed a page and stuck in some grass and white thread. (Points to anyone who guesses all the pages those different things are for!) I keep coming up with new ideas, so I’m really enjoying being creative.
Do you have a WTJ? How much do you enjoy it?

Birthday card for my boyfriend’s dad. Hope he likes it! I think I’ll probably use a similar design when it comes to father’s day.

Made some new teacup candles. The photo doesn’t show the cups too well, but they’re gorgeous, they’ve got lovely little purple and pink flowers on and matching saucers :)
Also, owl.
