This morning I danced downstairs, down the hallway and through the kitchen just to find my mum so that I could do my “Oh yeah, I saved £200 on my car insurance” song and dance in front of someone. It just felt lonely gloating to myself.
I think I have a problem with excessive pride over saving money… Yes, yes I will hang my head in shame.
But I’ll be carrying on with the dance, thank you very much!

I’ve seen a lot of people say that a pin is “definitely” a scrapper if the ears pattern doesn’t go over the edge; I bought this pin from the Disneystore website, and as you can see, along two edges the pattern has a border. A fellow collector has told me that they have this pin and the back is the same.
Just wanted to show that pins with backs like this might not be scrappers. If there is nothing else wrong with the pin, it might be genuine :)

I just saw a listing on eBay for an Oliver and Company pin that the seller claims is “rare”. It’s currently still available on the Disney Store website, for £9, not even low in stock. The eBay seller is charging £18.99!
I feel like I should report it but there’s no option in the drop-down boxes for the seller being a profit-hunting buttface. Humph.

Firstly, I must apologise for taking so long to post this. I arranged a trade with dinejam here on Tumblr a couple of months ago, but have only just gotten around to uploading the photos.
So, here’s what I sent:

Here’s what I received:

It’s very cute! Even though she lives in Wales, she is part of Guiding South West England (same as me!) so it was an interesting trade to do. It had never occurred to me before that if you lived near a border, you could join Guiding in a different country! Pretty cool.
Many thanks for trading with me, and helping me get my County centenary badge into another country! If I can find someone in Scotland who wants one, then I’ll have sent one to all of the different component countries in the UK :p.
If you think you might like to trade with me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, I will trade with you no matter where you live. Updated pictures of what badges I have available to trade are on my page. I look forward to hearing from you!

I just got really excited when I found that the US online Disney Store ships internationally, because there are so few pins on the UK store website, and none at reduced sale prices like on the American one.
Chose two pins I really like, decided to get two of each so I would finally have some to trade, started filling in the information, selected my country…
Then saw the shipping price. $35 to ship to the UK. I know shipping is expensive, but really, thirty-five bucks for four pins?!
So much for finally buying some pins directly from Disney. Eurgh.
Why, Disney, why make it so hard? Just sell more pins in the UK, online and IN STORES. Because even your UK postage prices suck. I’d really like to just be able to buy Disney pins without it becoming too expensive.
My apologies for ranting…

Squee!
It sounds so good! Plus, it’s pretty… there’s a Union Jack on the lid!
Best (super early) birthday present ever.
Currently listening to my Mum’s old Don McLean and Simon and Garfunkel LPs. I shall now be on the hunt for records. I’ll think I’ll have to buy 21 by Adele, since that is a) one of my favourite albums and b) what was playing when I first walked into the shop.
So happy :)

It has not been a pleasant couple of days.
Got a £50 parking fine through the post yesterday for staying 19 minutes too long (completely by accident, I hasten to add, I left as soon as I saw the sign warning of the time limit) in a McDonalds car park. Don’t think I’ll be wasting my money on a McFlurry again anytime soon.
Then today, when stuck in traffic on the M4, my car decides to break down. The rescue guy took over an hour to come because of said traffic, then it was another two hours before a tow truck could get to us to take me home and it cost £36 to be taken the 13 miles to my house. Goodness knows how much getting the car fixed is going to cost, whoopee…
Not to mention I couldn’t get to work because of this, so lost my wages for this afternoon’s shift and can’t get there on Monday now either, so bye-bye to more money.
It all sucks.
Oh, and by the way, if you’re ever going along the motorway in solid traffic and decide to use the hard shoulder to illegally bypass some cars in front of you, don’t. It’s terrifying to see cars, lorries and even a double-decker bus hurtling along towards your car and nearly take the wing mirror off as it swerves round you. Not to mention it pisses off all the people who sit patiently in the traffic. Did I mention it’s illegal?
Finally, to all the people who laughed at me as they drove past (and it was a lot of people), I hope you stub your toe so hard the nail retracts and internally stabs you, because laughing at someone who is alone, scared and in trouble is not cool. But I did appreciate the three cars that checked I was okay. Three out of a few hundred ain’t bad, I suppose.
Sorry, end of rant/moan. Tl;dr - Being a grown up sucks, and don’t be a dick to people who’ve broken down on the motorway in traffic.
